Your own tank at home is truly the best. You can use it any time of the day or night, and stay in for as long or as little as you like, and when you get out you can take your time, undressed, while you work at your computer or write the story that surfaced during your tank time.... It doesn't get much better than floating at home. Here are a variety of installations that people have in their homes.

Here is a simple installation in the spare bedroom of a second floor apartment. Weight is not a problem since the filled tank weighs only 64 pounds per square foot. The owner allows friends to come and use her tank and she also lets people rent time occasionally. The shower is in a bathroom right outside this room. |
![]() | This is an ingenious installation. This house is perched on a California hillside, 200 steep steps up the slope, where every inch of space is premium. A small room was built against the hillside, and lined with concrete. A shower with an "on demand" hot water system drains onto the floor (into a garden grey water line). You can see it in the right foregound. This room fits the tank like a glove. It isn't the 8th wonder of the world - but close! |

There was not enough tank room inside this house so this shed was erected a few steps from a bedroom door and the tank was installed here. This is in Southern California where it doesn't get very cold and can work in places with a moderate climate. If you are in a cold climate you would need heat for the shed in the winter, and you would want a shed with some insulation. |

Here is an exceptionally extraordinary installation - from my perspective. A home gym with equipment that equals what you find an a commercial gym as well as an esthetic that breathes in the neighborhood of perfection. I'm sure I'm exaggerating but this is a pristine installation. This gym includes machines for building muscle and stamina. This tank owner keeps his installation completely private. For his use only. |

Another apartment installation. This one is in a long, narrow, bright, living room. The tank door opens only 6 steps away from an alcove with a bathroom. These 2 dolls from Tibet seem to be exactly the correct homesteaders. They make certain that all who enter the tank are very well cared for. This owner eagerly welcomes friends, family, the curious as well as the devoted to float in her tank. |
